Our basic
riding program is designed for the beginner to intermediate
junior or adult rider and is taught in a relaxed and fun manner.
Our entire program is based upon fundamental principles of the
United States Pony Club. See
www.uspc.org, We are currently
being considered for accreditation through USPC as a Pony Club
Riding Center. This will enable our young riders to compete at
local Pony Club events.
Emphasis is
placed on basic horse care and the importance of horse and rider
being able to communicate and share a special bond. Our resident
trainer, Kristin Holland, teaches a basic balanced seat position
for laying the proper foundation for jumping, dressage or simply
confident pleasure riding. As the comfort level and proficiency
increases, our riding students usually move on to jumping and
dressage.
Our head trainer, Claudia Harris, is available to teach advanced
dressage and eventing students. For more information on Ms.
Harris's credentials please contact us.
Our school
horses are available for partial leases for those who wish to
ride outside of lessons.
